    Critical Process Died
    Kernel Inpage Error

It was even worse when laptop was running on battery. From google searches, these errors are related to the hard drive / SSD we all know and hate by now.

The few seconds before BSOD occurs, the following happens:

    * Audio keeps playing and then slows down and slurs like a drunk singing on a karaoke machine before passing...

I'm not sure but I believe both Dell XPS Skylake models have all same Samsung PM951 SSDs. I just hope we don't have the same problem as those guys with MS Surface Book. Can you guys post some SSD scores from "AS SSD Benchmark" or "Crystal DiskMark"? • Notebook - XPS 9550: SSD & RAM for sale (Austria)

Hi, i hope this is not the wrong forum, but I thought this might be interesting especially for XPS 9550 users. I upgraded my Notebook (Precision 5510, which is the "twin" of the XPS 9550) with a RAM kit and a new SSD, so the original Dell parts are left now: - 512GB Samsung PM951 NVMe M.2 SSD - 8GB DDR4-2133 memory module Both items are just a week old and located in Austria (Tirol). Price would be € 275,-- for both, if anyone is interested.

  • Notebook - XPS 9550 SSD Cache Problems

I just bought a certified refurbished 9550 and when I received it, the OS was installed to the 32GB cache disk. I ran recovery off the included USB stick, and it did the same thing, installing to the SSD cache. I disabled the cache, and now it's installed to the 500GB disk, but Intel RST will not allow me to install Smart Response, no matter how I format the drive or configure things. Has anyone else had issues with getting Smart Response to work correctly with the base model 9550s? specs:... XPS 9550 SSD Cache Problems

  • Notebook - XPS 9550 and SM961 or PM961 NVMe SSD issues?

Does anyone have an XPS 9550 with the Samsung SM961 or PM961 NVMe SSD? I am tempted to buy the Samsung 950 Pro, but it's only available in 512GB. My PM951 is giving me the known BSOD in Windows 10. So, I am looking forward to buying the 1TB SM961 as an upgrade to the capacity and fix the BSOD, once it is available again. Just wondering if anyone is having any issues with them such as BSOD in Windows 10, etc.

What is more weird it works fine when I put one old 8 GB stick + one new stick. To clear it out: DIMM B DIMM A WORKES 16... XPS 9550 - problems with memory upgrade

My work laptop (Dell Latitude E6440) has a function key to disable the track pad. I often find myself resting my thumb close enough to the 9550's track pad for it to register a touch. This is annoying when I'm using a mouse and have zero need for the track pad at the time. Is there a keyboard/easy way to disable the track pad?
